Welcome to the Virginia Tech Services, Inc. textbook page. You can use this page to look up and determine what books you need for your classes. You can also use this page to place a mail order for books if you need them shipped to you. Please be aware, however, that we do not ship to Blacksburg addresses. If you live locally, please visit University Bookstore or Volume Two Bookstore to purchase your books. If you are attending class on campus at Virginia Tech, DO NOT PLACE A MAIL ORDER FOR TEXTBOOKS AFTER January 8th. We cannot guarantee your books will arrive before you return to Blacksburg. Mail orders for on-line classes or classes taught at other locations may be placed at anytime. New books will be provided if used are not available. Your credit card information and shipping address are required in order for us to ship your order. Textbook Status Descriptions CHOICE - An acceptable alternative to a new or packaged textbook that is required for a course. GO TO CLASS FIRST - A book that may not be required for everyone in the course, or that should not be purchased without first receiving information about the purpose of the book from the instructor. OPTIONAL - A book that is not required for the course, but may be purchased as a supplemental item. RECOMMENDED - A book that is not required for the course, but one that the instructor strongly recommends reading for content or background information. REQUIRED - A book that is required for instruction in the course. There may be alternatives to a required book.
